That's the whole flow. No login screen to hunt for, no separate app to remember exists, no "sync later" button that quietly never gets pressed.

Because every capture is a live call into SparkyExpenses, it needs connectivity at the moment you submit. If you're somewhere with no signal — deep underground, on a flight, out in the middle of nowhere — the submission won't go through, and you'll get a straightforward retry message rather than a silent failure. This is worth saying plainly rather than glossing over: SparkyLive's expense capture is an online flow. It's not queued locally and quietly sent later the way a couple of other things in the product are (more on that below). If you're offline when you want to log something, you'll need to try again once you're back on a network, the same way you'd have to for any other online form.

That's a fair trade for what you get in exchange. The moments when you're most likely to actually remember to log an expense — right after paying, receipt still in hand — are also, for most people, moments spent somewhere with a signal: a restaurant, a hotel lobby, a taxi. The rare edge case of "spent money with zero connectivity anywhere nearby" is a smaller cost than the very common failure mode of "meant to log it tonight and never did."
